A new title is now being added to the resume of the talented producer and owner of his own fashion brands. It was revealed on Valentine’s Day that Pharrell will take over as Virgil Abloh’s long-awaited successor.

Pharrell is officially the Creative Director, despite the fact that Black fashion Twitter is split on the choice. The news was recently confirmed by the official Louis Vuitton IG page after being first reported by WSJ. It’s no rumour; the quest is finished. Although he has inspired streetwear culture with his own personal style and his own brand Billionaire Boys Club, the “Happy” musician has had his hand in the fashion industry for longer than we realise.

His debut line is scheduled to debut during Paris Men’s Fashion Week in June. Since KidSuper was a guest designer for the French fashion brand, we can assume that the continuation of it is over. Between fashion shows, there will be conversations about brunch as people anticipate Pharrell’s long-awaited appearance.
