Burna Boy to Perform at the UEFA Champions League Final in Istanbul 

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, a Nigerian artist best known by his stage name Burna Boy, will perform at the 2023 UEFA Champions League final in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Grammy-winning singer will co-headline the competition’s final kickoff show by Pepsi, which will take place at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on Saturday, June 10. UEFA made this announcement on its platform on Thursday.

“Known for his global chart-topping hits Last Last and It’s Plenty, the Nigerian star will bring his energy and signature soulful vibes of afro beats to millions of fans before the biggest club fixture in football gets underway,” UEFA wrote on its website.

Burna, a Pepsi brand ambassador, is well-known for his catchy songs and upbeat performances, and he has gained the admiration of music fans throughout time. He has performed on large platforms before, including the O2, Madison Square Garden, and numerous more all across the world.

The singer took to his Twitter page to confirm the news by posting a picture of himself  with the caption “Catch me performing at the UEFA Champions League Final in June! #LoveDamini”

 The UEFA Marketing Director, Guy-Laurent Epstein revealed the significance of the Kick-Off show. In his statement he said, 

“The UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show is a significant part of our joint efforts with Pepsi, providing an incredible opportunity to reach new and younger audiences with some of the biggest names and rising stars in music.”

“We’re excited to showcase a line-up of talented artists at this season’s final in Istanbul in what is sure to be an energetic and memorable performance.” He added.
