Orondaam Otto Creates Virtual Learning Class for 948 Kids in Africa

With a Goal to connect 10,000 kids digitally in Africa, Slum2School Founder, Orondaam Otto has begun the race. Slum2school has recently launched their first Virtual Learning Classroom in Africa, with 948 students on-board and learning virtually in their new studio.

Orondaam Otto and team created Slum2School as a response to major educational system issues in Nigeria. Nigeria is among the top 10 countries with the highest number of children out of school. The birthplace of Slum2School came about through thinking of innovative ways to solve this growing problem. Now, with the growing number of children out of school amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Slum2School has stepped in to provide digital tablets and laptops to thousands of children to aid in creating a virtual learning experience during this time.

“At Slum2School we believe that the future of education is digital. That every child deserves to have access to the best educational tools to learn and succeed in the 21st century regardless of their social or economic background.” – Orondaam Otto

With nearly 1000 students enrolled virtually — the goal for Slum2School is to enroll 10,000 students by the end of 2020.
