Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has been nominated for the 2020/21 Premier League player of the season.

Salah, 28 rounded off a fine individual campaign despite the struggles of his team Liverpool, by scoring 22 goals and providing five assists in 37 league appearances.

His contributions helped Liverpool clinch third spot on the final day of the season and put him in contention for the best player gong that he won during his first year with the Reds in 2017-18.

He is nominated alongside the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Ruben Dias, Bruno Fernandes, Jack Grealish, Harry Kane, Mason Mount and Tomas Soucek for this season’s accolade.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane claimed the season’s Golden Boot with 23 goals, one more than Salah.

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes was instrumental in helping Manchester United clinch second spot.

Mount helped Champions League winners Chelsea claim a top-four spot, while Soucek’s Hammers secured Europa League football and Grealish helped Villa to an 11th-placed finish in the club’s second season back in the top flight.

The winner is decided by votes from the public on the EA Sports website, combined with those of the 20 Premier League club captains and a panel of football experts.
