What is it?
Born out of an idea from Endeavor assistant Adeola Bakre, the NXT: Africa Edition is a free virtual program that provides the next generation of culture pioneers with opportunities to learn more about working and succeeding in the global sports, entertainment and fashion industries, with a specific focus on the emerging African market.
When is it?
Sessions will be live from January 26 – February 4, 2021 and will feature notable speakers such as Virgil Abloh (Chief Creative Director and founder of Off-White and Men’s Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton), Zozi Tunzi (Miss Universe), Amaduu Gallu Fall (President of the Basketball Africa League) and many more.
How does it work?
Aspiring entertainment professionals from across the world will be invited to enroll through Thinkific, an online learning platform, where they will receive the NXT: Africa Edition course materials. Pre-read and pre-watch materials will be provided to set the stage for live panel conversations, tutorials and Q&As, followed by a recap assignment to expand on course material. Sessions will be led by experts to give students a behind the scenes look at the industry, including conversations and workshops.
