Nigeria’s DJ Yin Sets New World Record For Longest DJ Set

240 hours across 10 days, that is where the World record for the longest DJ set stood at before today. It was set by another Nigerian, DJ OBI in July 2016. Now, five years later, having been inspired by her colleague, DJ Yin has set a new world record.

The female singer and DJ broke the record by operating her set at The Grill by Yanna, Ikoyi; Lagos. She played non-stop music for 243 hours and 30 minutes, marking 11 days beginning on September 20, 2021, and not ending until October 1, 2021.

Yin was well supported by her colleagues in the Nigerian music industry, including arguably Nigeria’s biggest female artist, Tiwa Savage, who partied with her as she broke the record.
