Patson Daka
Zambia forward Patson Daka has completed his signing for English Premier League team, Leicester City.
Daka was signed from Red Bull Salzburg for a reported £23 million ($32m).
He was officially unveiled on Wednesday after he penned the five-year deal.
The 22-year old finished the 2020/2021 Austrian Bundesliga league as the highest goalscorer with 27 goals in just 28 appearances. He was also named the best Player of the Season.
“I’m so, so excited to join this great, historic club,” Daka told LCFC TV following the announcement. “It has been my dream and I’m so happy and looking forward to what’s coming next.
“I have followed Leicester from the time they won the league. I feel it is the perfect place for me, because it’s a team that fights for titles. I know it’s not going to be easy, but I feel ready to face this new challenge.
“I will give my best for the club each and every day, and I look forward to seeing the Leicester City fans inside the stadium soon.”
Daka will bolster attacking options at Leicester for the 2021/22 seasons. He will play alongside former EPL highest goalscorer, Jamie Vardy and Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho who was in blistering form last season.
