DJ BUKA begins a New Journey – Meet “The Cultural Wolf”

Born and raised in Queens, New York, DJ Buka combines his authentic style and charismatic charm with the seamless blend of various genres to carve out his own lane.

DJ Buka has proven an impeccable track record, having DJ’d all across the world, working with major Afrobeat artists such as Burna Boy, Tekno and Flavour N’abania just to name a few. He is also known for spinning on some of the largest International stages as the Official DJ of the One Africa Music Festival.

The Cultural Wolf’s latest endeavor, “Africa On Demand,” is a curated experience of modern African music that aims to spread culture and uplift others through music. To date, he’s had exclusive guest appearances from Adekunle Gold, Afro B, Starboy Terri, and more!

However, now things are changing. As the product of music and traditional African culture fuse together, DJ Buka is ready to enter into a new journey as an artist pushing out distinct cultural sounds by creating a more modernized Igbo culture and merging it with eclectic sounds.

Who is DJ Buka?

“A fusion of culture and music, multi-talented and among the top ranking Afrobeat DJs in the world. However to me, that’s only the beginning. I really do believe it’s time I ventured into new things – and on May 5th I will be doing just that!”

“At midnight on May 5th I’ll be releasing my first ever single titled POPPIN featuring Spotless which will debut on all major platforms.”

What would you like people to know about your new single POPPIN?

“I want people to know that it is just the beginning for me and I want them to really feel our music in a new way. We are bringing a new sound and cultural elements that people can truly vibe to.”

Why is it important that you take this journey now?

“I’ve been pushing Afrobeats for a while now and we need to continue expanding. Africa needs to continue pushing her sound.”

“Thats where I come in. Where authentic African culture meets New School – I want to be the face of that.”
