 The Amplify Africa 
 College Scholarship Fund 
It is a norm for African parents to urge their kids towards traditional jobs in Law, Medicine, Engineering etc, rather than exploring any form of creativity. The college scholarship is one of our initiatives which is set to encourage and empower college students of African descent to explore their creativity. Through this initiative, five (5) college students of African descent will be awarded $2,000 each and internship opportunities for their creativity.

 

Who can participate
  1. Must be currently enrolled a college as an undergraduate or graduate student

  2. Must identify as African or of African descent

  3. Must be 18 years or older

  4. Content creators, dancers, foodie/chef, comedians etc.

 

How to participate
  1. Follow @amplifyafrica @amplifyafricamedia on instagram and like Amplify Africa Media on Facebook

  2. Create video content of not more than 3 minutes

  3. Video must contain original content

  4. HD quality or no less than 1080p

  5. Upload to your platform facebook and/or Instagram page, mention @amplifyafrica and use the hashtags #amplifyafrica #amplifyafricacollegefund. 

  6. The top 10 videos will be chosen based on different factors with engagement (views, likes and comments) as our top determining factors.

  7. These top 10 videos will be posted on the Amplify Africa Media Facebook and the @amplifyafrica Instagram pages 

  8. Top 5 creators with the highest votes and engagement (views, likes and comments) on the website, facebook and instagram respectively will be awarded scholarship fund and internship if local. Winners will be announced on the 30th of July 2019.
