After a closed-door celebration, the 17th edition of the BET Hip Hop Awards aired on Tuesday, October 4, and prominent stars added a few more trophies to their shelves.
The event, hosted by Fat Joe, was held last week at the Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta and it featured performances from legends like Lil Kim, Wu-Tang Clan, Jeezy, Clipse, and Three 6 Mafia, as well as current stars such as Kodak Black, Moneybagg Yo and Joey Bada$$.
Drake and Kanye West led the nomination list, scoring 14 nominations and 10 nominations respectively, but – it was Kendrick Lamar who walked away as the night’s biggest winner after scooping six awards.
